Along with our existing network of counseling and support centers throughout the country, Open Door operates a digital counseling service for youth and young adults staffed by volunteers who are experts in healthcare, education, and youth. The volunteers undergo a professional training course with a specific focus on digital technology. Since the digital counseling center’s establishment a decade ago, the number of clients using this service has increased by over 10% each year. In 2015, there was a 26% increase in the number of questions answered on the Open Door website and a 65% increase in the number of unique clients. In 2017, we received approximately 10,000 inquiries through our online portal.
